We wrapped up our stay with a lovely room that had great tea and coffee facilities. The meals, especially the lasagne, were top-notch! The cozy ambiance was perfect, and the fire pit really allowed for some chill time after a busy day. Only downside was the dated decor in the room, but it didn't take away from good vibes. 😊

a pleasant stay with room for improvement
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, offering us an early check-in which was important for my Mum. The spacious DeMaurier suite provided a lovely home base, making it enjoyable to relax after our busy days.
The inside space, while charmingly old, could benefit from more attention to cleaning and decor.

The breakfasts were delicious, I mean, it's rare to find such a cozy spot with good food that doesn't skimp on portions. the staff were incredibly friendly, treating me like family which is something I didn't expect.
It wasn’t exactly cheap either, but I guess for what I got, it was somewhat reasonable.

the staff were super friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast. really liked the breakfast options too, loved the plain yoghurt and fresh fruit salad. the inn was really cozy, like a nice old country pub. we had a nice meal in the restaurant and felt welcomed by everyone. fire safety is clearly a priority, which is great to see.
the room was a bit noisy at night with sounds from outside and other guests. also, the parking situation could've been clearer on arrival.

The location at the entrance of the village offers easy access to local attractions, making exploration convenient. The room was spacious and featured a comfortable bed, enhancing the overall experience. the late-night food service cutoff was disappointing, especially after a long journey, and check-in lacked a warm welcome due to staff shortages. the bathroom had cleanliness issues that detracted from the stay.
